British League (Elite League)
Team composition:Teams' 1-5 can be built to a total of 34 points using a rider's match average (MA), with no more than 2 riders over 7 points per team, and a maximum of 2 double-up riders per team.
Riders 6-7 will be drafted from the British Speedway Elite Draft Rider (EDR) list.
Riders with the 3 highest MAs must ride at numbers 1,3 and 5.
Riders with the 4th and 5th highest MAs must ride at numbers 2 and 4.
Rules:15 heats, 7 riders per team.
One tactical ride can be used during heats 5-11 when a team is 10 or more points down. The nominated rider will receive double points if he beats an opposing rider. Non finishing riders count as beaten opponents.
If a rider is injured and withdrawn during the meeting, he can be replaced with the R/R (IRR) facility, providing the team is not already using a R/R.
Each rider must have a minimum of 3 rides and a maximum of 7.
A meeting can be declared as a result after 10 heats.
A rider can elect to go off a 15 metre handicap if he commits a starting infringement and is excluded.
Bonus points ARE awarded for being ahead of a non finishing rider (e.g. the rider in fourth retired or was excluded.)
