- Promoters rubber-stamp the introduction of the new Second Division. The league is set to have at least eight clubs with Berwick, Eastbourne, Middlesbrough, Newport II, Newcastle II, Nelson, Reading and Weymouth expected to form the basis of the competition - Canterbury and Crayford are possible entrants also.
