• Oxford create a shock by dropping Nicki Pedersen after the Dane refuses to ride in heat 15 of their TV meeting at Peterborough. Nigel Wagstaff quickly agrees a deal for Greg Hancock to replace him
• Jason Crump wins the Danish GP at Copenhagen's PARKEN Stadium. Tony Rickardsson leads the championship by 7 points from Nicki Pedersen with Crump a further 8 behind
• Team GB are drawn with Australia, USA and Slovenia in their World Cup qualifying meeting in Outrup Denmark
• Hull axe Neil Collins and Lee Dicken to accommodate new Norwegian signing Bjorn Hansen in the side. Junior Mike Pickering is thrust into the side to complete the septet
• Exeter's Michael Coles suffers serious back injuries at the Isle Of Wight. The Falcons move quickly to sign axed Sheffield rider Scott Smith
