Suffered a career ending crash on 3rd June 2003 whilst racing in a Swedish league meeting in Vetlanda. Krzysztof was told he had a damaged spinal cord, which would leave him unable to walk. But with years of intense rehab, and pure determination, he has been able to stand on his own, walk short distances, and has even been back on a speedway bike. Krzysztof continued to be involved in speedway. He became president of the Methanol Association, which represents Polish riders, and commentates on speedway in Poland. News References:2003..
