Riders Gary Everett, Martyn Piddock and Malcolm Carmichael also died, along with team manager, Phil Bishop, and the driver of the bus. Colin Pratt (neck, head and internal injuries), Stan Stevens (broken leg and facial injuries), Garry Hay (head and facial injuries) and a mechanic were all hurt, but survived.
